Upgrade Favorites Storage
"Upgrade Favorites Storage" is a storage capacity expansion service provided by BatChat. Each user starts with 30MB of free Favorites capacity. When you have many saved items and storage is insufficient, you can purchase an expansion package to increase capacity. After expansion, file encryption/decryption privileges are also unlocked, making file storage more secure and flexible.

- Purchasing any expansion package unlocks file encryption/decryption.
Expansion Process
- Go to "My" - "Favorites", then tap "More" in the upper-right corner - "Upgrade Favorites Storage";
- Select the package you need, check the "Favorites Storage Expansion Service Agreement", and tap "Buy Now" to complete expansion.
Capacity Calculation Rules
- Purchasing the same package specification multiple times accumulates valid time, but capacity does not stack;
- Purchasing different package specifications stacks Favorites capacity, and validity periods are calculated independently.
- Example: You purchase a 200MB expansion service on May 1, 2025 (valid for 1 year), then purchase a 500MB expansion service on October 1, 2025 (valid for 1 year):
- From May 1, 2025 to before October 1, 2025, Favorites capacity is 230MB;
- From October 1, 2025 to before May 1, 2026, Favorites capacity is 730MB;
- From May 1, 2026 to before October 1, 2026, Favorites capacity is 530MB;
- After October 1, 2026, it returns to the free capacity of 30MB.

Package Expiration Rules
- After an expansion package expires, the corresponding expanded capacity is immediately reclaimed, and total Favorites capacity is automatically reduced by the expired capacity;
- Retention period for over-capacity content:
- From the package expiration date, content exceeding the capacity will continue to be saved for 1 month;
- After 1 month, if used capacity is still greater than total capacity, the system will automatically clear excess content until used capacity is less than or equal to total capacity, clearing from oldest to newest by favorite time.
FAQ
Encryption is tied to the expansion package. It is available during the package validity period. If all packages expire, encryption is disabled.
Total capacity = free capacity + the sum of all unexpired package capacities. When each package expires, its corresponding capacity is immediately deducted.
No. Encryption is an included privilege of expansion packages. You must purchase any capacity package to unlock it.
